Encontro Bienal da Sociedade Europeia de Farmacologia e Comportamento (EBPS Biennial Meeting 2019)

Dear Colleagues

It is a great pleasure to welcome you to the EBPS 2019 Biennial Meeting that will be held in Braga, Portugal from August 28 until August 31.

We have prepared an exciting scientific and social program that brings together basic and clinical researchers from all around the world working on the field of Behavioural Pharmacology. The program includes 4 Plenary lectures given by the world-wide famous scientists Professors Harriet de Wit (University of Chicago, USA), Paul Kenny (Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, USA), Asya Rolls (Israel Institute of Technology, Israel), Markus Heiling (Linköping University, Sweden), that will share with us their current findings focusing on behavioral pharmacology and brain circuitry-connectome. Due to the high number of high-quality symposia proposed, we have decided to include 3 parallel sections of Symposia covering a broader spectrum of topics and offering the opportunity to more young researchers to contribute to this international meeting.

In addition, we organize a free-of-charge hands-on EBPS Workshop for young scientists entitled “From networks to behavior” where Professor Alcino Silva (UCLA, USA) will serve as the Workshop Keynote speaker. Note that we provide travel support and poster awards for participants of both EBPS 2019 Biennial meeting and Workshop. Together with this satellite event, the 4-days-long EBPS 2019 Biennial meetingoffers a great opportunity for formal and informal interactions among participants serving as a platform for novel and extended collaborations for both established and young scientists.
